Return to Tights

My last day was a return of cool weather. We even had a thunder storm.

I wore another Ann Taylor Skirt cotton spandex stretch, sz 10. The top is Cold Water Creek and my tights are DKNY. What a way to go out, in fall items.
I took a second picture outside - this was as much sun as May 31 could muster (sigh) Notice the sky is the same old grey!

Tomorrow I will add ending thoughts to my blog and show appreciation to all of my supporters, and I may even stay in dresses through out the week. :>

Memorial Memories

I made myself wear it "weather be damned!" Like the soldiers on the front lines, I'm gonna win this battle. Well, a bit extreme... but I am thankful for the freedom to wear a dress and not a Burka!

To show my pride I'm in a svelte (gracefully slender) Ann Taylor Blue Linen (sz 6) thrifted dress. Yes thrifted, in CA at Main Street Rags for $34.00. Here is front and amazing back!

My shoes were also thrifted locally, they are Cold Water Creek. $3.99

Faded Glory

Today I wore my "Faded Glory" checkerboard medium mini dress. I had hopes for a summer time BBQ and outdoor festivities, but the sun stayed illusive & played peek-aboo with the clouds.
My determination faded a bit, and I was only in my dress from 1-7pm. But that is still the balance of the day!

I had breakfast with my daughter (still in pants); lunch with a friend; a walk with my hubby and a kiss on the cheek from my son. I'm batting 1000!

Dual Day/Night Exchange

Yes, it's velour, Yes, it's green (think Christmas). I was inspired to dress down a dress and make an off-season work for Memorial festivities. So before:

Then heading our to dinner, I added more jewerly, put up my hair & I am ready for the town. I just hope no-one says "Merry Christmas!"

Friends In Black

My girlfriend met me for coffee and in my honor wore a dress! What a sweet thing to do. So she joins me in the post today and her dress is terrific huh!

I am wearing "Siren Blue" medium black paired with a "H.I.P." sweater wrap from Nordstrom.  The dress is sleeveless, but it needed a covering today. I purchased it thrifting years ago, and only wear it when I feel skinny because it is clingy!

Grey Tweed on a Grey Day

Today was 50+ degrees, c'mon already it is MAY 26th.
Unusually cold and windy, it was difficult to let my summer dresses still sit. I wore my new suit, purchased this Fall from Macy's.

It is a "Danny & Nicole" with three quarter sleeves and the skirt is long down to my calfs. I brightened it up with a watermelon colored shirt for "pop!"

Pockets and Pearls

Another Calvin Klein - deep blue, pocketed and tapered dress.
I like this one, I purchased it last year and forgot about it. (?)
I posted on FB mid-fall saying "I found a dress in my closet!"

I have a strand of pearls from Mike and some pearl earings from 20+ years ago that I fished out of a clam back in the 80's!
