Return to Tights

My last day was a return of cool weather. We even had a thunder storm.

I wore another Ann Taylor Skirt cotton spandex stretch, sz 10. The top is Cold Water Creek and my tights are DKNY. What a way to go out, in fall items.
I took a second picture outside - this was as much sun as May 31 could muster (sigh) Notice the sky is the same old grey!

Tomorrow I will add ending thoughts to my blog and show appreciation to all of my supporters, and I may even stay in dresses through out the week. :>

Memorial Memories

I made myself wear it "weather be damned!" Like the soldiers on the front lines, I'm gonna win this battle. Well, a bit extreme... but I am thankful for the freedom to wear a dress and not a Burka!

To show my pride I'm in a svelte (gracefully slender) Ann Taylor Blue Linen (sz 6) thrifted dress. Yes thrifted, in CA at Main Street Rags for $34.00. Here is front and amazing back!

My shoes were also thrifted locally, they are Cold Water Creek. $3.99

Faded Glory

Today I wore my "Faded Glory" checkerboard medium mini dress. I had hopes for a summer time BBQ and outdoor festivities, but the sun stayed illusive & played peek-aboo with the clouds.
My determination faded a bit, and I was only in my dress from 1-7pm. But that is still the balance of the day!

I had breakfast with my daughter (still in pants); lunch with a friend; a walk with my hubby and a kiss on the cheek from my son. I'm batting 1000!

Dual Day/Night Exchange

Yes, it's velour, Yes, it's green (think Christmas). I was inspired to dress down a dress and make an off-season work for Memorial festivities. So before:

Then heading our to dinner, I added more jewerly, put up my hair & I am ready for the town. I just hope no-one says "Merry Christmas!"

Friends In Black

My girlfriend met me for coffee and in my honor wore a dress! What a sweet thing to do. So she joins me in the post today and her dress is terrific huh!

I am wearing "Siren Blue" medium black paired with a "H.I.P." sweater wrap from Nordstrom.  The dress is sleeveless, but it needed a covering today. I purchased it thrifting years ago, and only wear it when I feel skinny because it is clingy!

Grey Tweed on a Grey Day

Today was 50+ degrees, c'mon already it is MAY 26th.
Unusually cold and windy, it was difficult to let my summer dresses still sit. I wore my new suit, purchased this Fall from Macy's.

It is a "Danny & Nicole" with three quarter sleeves and the skirt is long down to my calfs. I brightened it up with a watermelon colored shirt for "pop!"

Pockets and Pearls

Another Calvin Klein - deep blue, pocketed and tapered dress.
I like this one, I purchased it last year and forgot about it. (?)
I posted on FB mid-fall saying "I found a dress in my closet!"

I have a strand of pearls from Mike and some pearl earings from 20+ years ago that I fished out of a clam back in the 80's!

Blue & Brrrr!

It was only 60 degrees today so I waited for a moment of sun. I had Mike take my photo on our deck.
This dress is a cotton Tommy Hilfiger.

This dress has more room for a bust than mine; and is tailored to flatter the figure.

I love the color and the flow, I would just love it better in the sun!

Monday Ministry & Mania

Today was a busy! I LOVE this dress. I wore it to class and lectured. I wore it to work and held meetings. I wore it to church and trained care-givers.
It was PERFECT!

It is very unique, a "Jones New York" originally $140. that I purchased for less than $40. last year in CA. It is a hard color to match, purple/deep brown/mauve or heather? It picks up the purple with my matching Nordstrom rack mauve sweater - that unforunately also cost me $40. (sigh)

Wicked & Weight Watchers

I almost had to wear three dresses today! But I skipped church. I had play tickets to "Wicked" so I knew I wanted to wear my dressy Royal Blue London Times from Macy's. I bought this for a fundraising event last Winter.

Earlier in the day I had a 5K to walk with my weight watcher group & some good BFF time with my friend Dee. So we walked the Spokane River Centenial Trail and I wore an "Eddie Bauer" cotten jersy dress with tennis shoes.

Sleepy Bass

Well today I got to sleep in, and I woke refreshed & ready!
I am wearing "Bass" brand around the house today and "Bass" shoes.
I ran errands, I've got a week of laundry to fold, and I counted out my last 10 dresses - no repeats! Although tomorrow may be a two-for (we'll see).

Court Delay

I had to delay Coldwater (again) because of unexpected Court (again).
I couldn't bare putting on the full suit, it is designer "Alex Garfield" size 8 suit.
So I threw the skirt on with a "Rafael" Gold/Black top, and mini sweater.

I took my suit jacket just in case.

Cold Water Sparkle

Today is sunny, so I am shimmery in my CW Sparkle Top, I matched it with my Worthington Skirt from Nordstrom.
I spayed on my tan today...so I hope I am not orange later!

P.S. Thanks for the "self timer" tip on the blog ladies. My learning curve has been phenomenal!

Cold Water Blue

Today's number is another Cold Water Creek.
I've owned it for years, it's light, lined and whimiscal.
I'm sure Cold Water had some cute orginal introduction, like "winding your way whimiscally through the warm wonders of the world!" (Maybe a new gig for me?)

Cold Water Creek Week

I have enough Cold Water Creek dresses for the rest of the week.
As long as it warms up I should be able to wear them. I love this company.
I almost ordered another dress last week - but had to STOP.

31 dresses is enough don't you think!?

Rainy Days & Mondays

Trying not to let the weather get me down,
it was so wet and cold today.
I had to switch gears from
a sleeveless dress to warm skirt and tights! I wore a St John Collection tweed skirt,(made in America) and a cotton blouse. I was cold all day (sigh)

Sunday

Busy Cleaning today, carpets, toilets, floors!

All I need to add is a head scarf!

Graduation Day

Drove to Moscow ID for my brother's graduation A degree in Sociology & Communications (sounds familiar).
I wore my LEI denim skirt and "Violin" dressy, sparkly top from Audrey's Boutique.

Had a very wonderful and intimate time with my family.
It is always fun to celebrate big accomplishments!

Kicking It

Today's sundress is called "Dressing Clio"
It has cute little chickens and roosters on it. Blue and Black with chicks all over!

They have names like Henry, Matilda, Penny & Winifred

                 The chickens talk "Tsk! Tsk!"
                  and "You don't say"

Honestly it is the cutest thing ever! Someone wanted to borrow it already today, because it is truely one of a kind!

Today's oufit is "Alfani" silk skirt,
and "Alfani" silk, nylon, spandex top.
I LOVE this outfit,
I have had it about five years.
It's from Macy's.

We had quite a windstorm last night,
so this will keep me warm
if the sun refuses to shine.

Sizing

Today's sundress is a size 11-12.
It is old(er) the label reads
"All that Jazz"
I have always been a sz 8-10 women,
Now the cuts are larger. 4's...6's...?
I was never that size in my youth!

Now days the 8's run big,
and my old 10's run small.

Court Day

Today was court day, so I wore a chocolate Calvin Klein sheath dress with the matching jacket. One button claspe & a perfect size 8. It was professional and fun to wear for the day.
                   P.S. The judge ruled in our favor!

                                    

Perceptions

Today's Dress I purchased at Macy's last year. It was no more than $30. because that is my limit.

I really like the scrunchy belt, and the paisley pattern again in brown/white.

This means I need to give a few of my own perceptions.

1. Dresses are better on sunny days, for sure!

2. Wearing heals start to hurt everyday - I'm not a shoe girl

3. Im having silly fun with this!

Mothers Day

Today's Dress is a Paisley Polyester

Paisley is defined as having "an elaborate, colorful pattern of intricate figures"

Designed by 3B and made in America, it is a Seafoam color. It is shear and lined, but I still needed a slip.

It is a size 11. But fits like an 8.

BSF

I used to have to pull out a dress every Sat. morning for BSF. We went to leadership meetings looking professional. The "dress rule" relaxed years ago. But it did not feel unusual for me to lay out my skirt and tights for early Sat. morning. This skirt is from Nordstrom.

            
I miss my BSF gals, their last meeting of the year is today!
May they all be blest and rested for the summer season.

Old Standby

Today's dress is indeed my old standby sun dress. I have had this dress over a decade. Yikes! It traveled to Israel with me (May 2000) and was a perfect dress to have on vacation.
I distinctly remember wearing it at the Mediterranean Sea (Caesarea) and later to Bethleham.
It is threadbare and I noticed (just now) it says Dry Clean Only HAHA- its been washed over and over.

Cinco De Mayo

Another skirt today, the flowing, lacy, broom skirt works for Cinco Celebrations today.
I picked a green T  American Eagle and my White Stag skirt is actually made in China -
So I'm pretty global today.Thursday's are my long days, I'm not home until 10pm;

This outfit should be comfortable all day...even without Margaritas!

Fourth Day of May

Today's selection is an Ann Taylor skirt (sz 4!) and blouse from Penny's.
I loved being able to wear black legs and my new thrift store Bass pumps ($4)
I got home at 4pm. I see a theme emerging with the number 4!

I guess I'll add all four pictures - enjoy! It is a beautiful day today!

Mauve Mumba

Today's selection continues with the floral! Black and Mauve.

Eva Blue design! Its a bit big on me, my closet still ranges from 6 -12. I don't think I will keep this one, although Mike likes it better than yesterdays.    

I wish I had more of a figure sometimes!

Red

Today's dress as a Molly Malloy, blue/red becasue I can not wear red/red.
It has bright flowers and was purchased at a local thrift store.

I love the boat neck. I added jewerly after the photo.
I also love red lipstick!
